The house
A house built by Natea’s family
A wooden house on stilts with 211 m² of living space, rented as a whole, between a garden of fruit trees and the Moorea lagoon.

The house
Natea’s parents, a French father and a Tahitian mother, built this wooden house on stilts back when a crushed-coral road ran round Moorea. It has been renovated since, and is still a family home.
The living room’s glass doors open onto the garden and the lagoon. Paintings, furniture, decoration and Tahitian bedspreads set the mood of the house.
The house is rented as a whole. Rameha, the caretaker, lives on site in the studio next to the garage, which is private; the parking area, the access to the sea and the washing machine are shared with him. The massage room is for your exclusive use. A covered walkway links the parking area to the house. A small mountain behind shelters it from the cool southerly winds of the dry season.

The lagoon
A white-sand bottom, knee-deep water for a few steps, then turquoise, then deep blue. You may see leopard rays and reef fish. A small sandy beach appears at low tide; the shore is protected by a rock wall. Across the lagoon, at the reef, is the small Irihonu pass.
Reef shoes are provided: past the sand the coral begins, where stonefish can hide. Children go to the water’s edge with an adult.
Outrigger canoe, kayaks and paddleboard
Every adult who uses them signs the watersports annex to the house rules, and Rameha gives a demonstration before the first outing. No minor on board without an adult. Buoyancy aid at all times, never at night, and you stay inside the lagoon.
